A Scene captures a snapshot of selected channel values and fades to them on playback
A Scene stores target DMX values for any subset of channels across one or more fixtures. When started, channels fade from their current value to the scene’s target over the Scene’s Fade In time. Only explicitly enabled channels are touched — disabled channels are left at their current value. Scenes form the building block of all other functions: Chasers step through sequences of Scenes; Show Manager places Sequences (Scene-bound) on a timeline. Stopping a Scene fades out only HTP (intensity) channels; LTP channels hold their value.
Examples
A ‘Blue wash’ scene enables and sets only the Blue channel to 255 on four PAR fixtures, leaving their dimmers and gobos untouched.
Assessment
A scene enables the Red channel at 200 and the Dimmer channel at 255, leaving all other channels disabled. Describe exactly which channels change when the scene starts and when it stops.
