A Collection runs multiple QLC+ functions simultaneously as a single triggerable unit

A Collection bundles any number of QLC+ functions and starts them all simultaneously when triggered. It has no speed settings of its own — each member uses its own settings. Each function can be included only once; a Collection cannot contain itself. When functions share channels, HTP/LTP rules apply in list order (for LTP: last-listed wins). Important pattern: combine a Scene (sets absolute position via LTP pan/tilt) with a relative-mode EFX in a Collection, ensuring the Scene is listed first so the EFX offsets from the correct base position.

Examples

A ‘Big look’ Collection starts: blue wash Scene + position Scene + circle EFX in relative mode + colour-chase Chaser, all at once.

Assessment

A Collection lists Scene A then Scene B; both write the same LTP gobo channel to different values. What gobo value does the fixture show, and why?

“A collection function encapsulates multiple functions that are run simultaneously when the collection function is executed. Any number of functions can be inserted to a collection, but each function can be inserted only once and a collection cannot be a direct member of itself.”
