A Cue List steps through a Chaser's scenes one cue at a time for theatrical operation

The Cue List widget attaches a Chaser and presents its steps as numbered cues. A single key press advances to the next cue — designed for theatre operators following a script. The side fader enables manual crossfade control, overriding the Chaser’s own fade times. Cue duration should be set to infinite (∞) for fully manual crossfade; the Speed Dial widget sets this. When paused, lights freeze in place including motors. Only Chasers can be assigned to a Cue List because Chasers are the only QLC+ function type with a duration parameter.

Examples

A theatre cue book mapped to a 50-step Chaser: the operator presses ENTER at each actor line. During a sunset crossfade they drag the side fader slowly.

Assessment

Why must a Cue List use a Chaser rather than a Scene or Collection? When should cue duration be set to infinite, and which widget sets it?

“A Cue List provides a list of Functions that you can step through with a single keyboard key. The Cue List is designed for theatrical performances where the lighting operator needs only to follow the script and toggle the next cue as the performance goes on.”
