QLC+ exposes a web interface for headless remote control of the Virtual Console and Simple Desk over HTTP

Running QLC+ with -w enables a built-in web server on port 9999. Any modern browser (Chrome recommended for WebSocket) can access the Virtual Console, Simple Desk, and Configuration pages remotely. Useful for Raspberry Pi headless deployments. The Simple Desk includes a DMX Keypad with command syntax (e.g., ‘3 THRU 15 AT 133’ sets channels 3–15 to 133). Remote project loading and fixture uploading are supported. Authentication can be enabled with -wa flag at three access levels. Known limitations: Speed Dial and XY Pad widgets are not yet supported.

Examples

A venue Raspberry Pi is managed from a tablet browser at http://192.168.0.100:9999, with the LD triggering cues from the Virtual Console page.

Assessment

List two known limitations of the QLC+ web interface. What command sets channels 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 to value 100 using the DMX Keypad?

“QLC+ includes a native web server to expose on traditional web browsers some of the software features. It comes very handy when you need to run QLC+ on a device without a display (headless system) either to work standalone or for remote controlling.”
