QLC+ kiosk mode locks the UI to Virtual Console only, preventing editing during live operation

Kiosk mode (launched with -k flag) hides all panels except the Virtual Console and locks QLC+ in Operate Mode. Designed for installations where non-technical operators should only trigger pre-programmed looks. Typically combined with -f (fullscreen), -o (open workspace), and -p (Operate Mode). A close button with configurable position and size is added with -c x,y,w,h. The web interface is compatible with kiosk mode. Equivalent to a ‘show-mode’ lock on professional consoles.

Examples

Museum installation: qlcplus -k -f -o gallery_show.qxw -p -c 1870,10,40,40 runs the show fullscreen with a small close button in the top-right corner.

Assessment

Write the QLC+ command to start: kiosk mode, fullscreen, opening ‘concert.qxw’, Operate Mode, with a 50×50 close button at position (1900, 20).

“QLC+ has a special mode when your lighting needs to be operated by inexperienced people, or you just want to prevent unwanted changes. It's called the Kiosk mode. In this mode only the Virtual Console is displayed, so no editing is possible.”
