A Speed Dial widget adjusts multiple functions' fade and duration speeds in real time with tap tempo

The Speed Dial allows live modification of Fade In, Fade Out, and Duration for a set of functions. The central dial adjusts the focused time field (hours/minutes/seconds/centiseconds). A Tap button measures press intervals and sets that as the tempo — for Chasers and RGB Matrices, tapping also advances to the next step when the tapped tempo exceeds 1/4 of original duration. Multiplier/Divider buttons (1x, 2x, 4x, 1/2x, 1/4x) scale time without losing the base value. Presets save frequently used values as buttons.

Examples

A Speed Dial mapped to MIDI channel 531 (beat clock) keeps a colour-chase Chaser in sync with a DJ’s tempo.

Assessment

A Chaser has step duration 4 seconds. You tap the Speed Dial 3 times at 1-second intervals. What happens to the Chaser duration? Is the step advanced on each tap?

“The tap button sets the Speed Dial time value to the interval between the button press/release actions. The faster it will be pressed, the lower the time value will be”
