Fixture Remapping reassigns an existing project's channels to different fixtures in minutes

Fixture Remapping solves the common live production problem of arriving at a venue with different fixtures than programmed. It allows 1-to-1 or 1-to-many channel/fixture reassignments: draw connections between source and target channels/fixtures; QLC+ remaps all Scenes, EFX, VC widgets, and audio triggers automatically. A new project file is saved (original preserved). QLC+ maintains channel categories when reassigning (Pan → Pan). Only available when source and target structures are compatible.

Examples

A project for 1 moving head + 1 PAR is remapped at the venue to 20 moving heads + 50 PARs in minutes instead of rebuilding from scratch.

Assessment

What types of QLC+ functions are automatically updated during a remap? What might need manual correction after remapping to a different fixture type?

“Fixtures remapping allows you to perform 1-to-1 or 1-to-many reassignments of entire fixtures or single channels. QLC+ will try as far as possible to reassign the original channels used in the project to new channels in the same category.”
