Tidal's hush command silences all channels immediately and is the primary panic-stop for gain runaway
hush is Tidal’s global silence command, stopping all d1..d16 channels immediately. For single-channel silence, d1 silence or # gain 0 mute just that channel. For gain runaway caused by high delayfeedback (approaching 1), large room settings, or a gain above 0.9, the recovery is: run hush, then rebuild from a minimal synth-only pattern with conservative gain. panic also resets SuperDirt’s voices and is the nuclear option.
Examples
Gain runaway from # gain 3 or # delayfeedback 0.99: hush stops everything. Rebuild: d1 $ note "c2" # sound "supersaw" # gain 0.5.
Assessment
List Tidal’s three silence commands from most targeted to broadest, and describe the correct gain range to keep delayfeedback safe.
