Tidal's d1..d16 channels and p come from BootTidal.hs and have no Strudel equivalent

The d1..d16 orbit channels and the p function are Tidal-only: they are defined in BootTidal.hs, not core Tidal, and Strudel has no equivalent — Strudel uses top-level $: voices instead. When porting a Tidal pattern to Strudel you drop the d1 $ prefix entirely, because leaving it in references an undefined name. Recognising d1 $ as a channel-launch wrapper rather than part of the pattern is essential to a clean port.

Examples

— Tidal: d1 $ s “bd sn” # room 0.3 // Strudel — drop d1 $, use a $: voice: $: s(“bd sn”).room(0.3)

Assessment

What are d1..d16 in Tidal, why do they have no Strudel equivalent, and what do you do with the d1 $ prefix when porting?

“`d1..d16` and `p` are Tidal-only.** They come from `BootTidal.hs`, not core Tidal, and have **no Strudel equivalent** — Strudel uses top-level `$:` voices. Drop `d1 $` when porting to Strudel.”
