In VCV Rack you stack multiple cables on one output by Ctrl-dragging from that output
A single output port in VCV Rack can drive several destinations at once. To add another cable from an output that is already connected, hold Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) and drag from that output — this creates an additional stacked cable without removing the existing one. It is the software counterpart of a hardware ‘multiple’ or splitter in Eurorack, where one signal is fanned out to many inputs. Stacking lets a single source — a clock, a V/oct pitch line, an LFO — modulate many targets simultaneously. Because it is software, the same signal value is delivered to every destination with no loss or buffering concerns.
Examples
To send one clock to both a sequencer and a drum module, Ctrl-drag from the clock output to the second destination after making the first connection. To send one V/oct line to two oscillators for unison, stack a second cable from the same V/oct output.
Assessment
Describe the exact mouse operation to drive two different inputs from one VCV Rack output. What is the hardware Eurorack equivalent of this operation?
