ChucK has no default master limiter, so many voices summed to dac clip unless gain is kept low
Every UGen patched to dac sums into the same output with no default master limiter in ChucK. Many voices, or a feedback delay with gain >= 1, produce harsh clipping — very loud, with no error. The discipline is: keep per-voice .gain around 0.1-0.3, route voices through a Gain or Dyno.limit() bus, and keep any Delay/Echo feedback gain below 1. Managing headroom is manual because nothing catches an overload for you.
Examples
Ten SinOsc => dac at gain 1.0 clip hard. Fix: 0.15 => each.gain, or sum through Gain g => Dyno.limit() => dac.
Assessment
Explain why summing many ChucK voices to dac clips, and list two ways to keep the master level under control.
