Maths produces a voltage-controlled triangle LFO by self-cycling one channel with SUM patched to Both CV
To generate a triangle LFO on Make Noise Maths, set CH.1 (or 4) to self-cycle with RISE and FALL at noon. Patch SUM OUT back to Both CV Input to internally control frequency. The CH.2 Attenuvertor sets the rate. Apply desired FM to CH.3 Signal Input. Output comes from the channel Signal OUT. Setting RISE/FALL further clockwise lengthens the cycle; counter-clockwise shortens it up to audio rate. The attenuvertor can scale and invert the output, or Variable OUT can be patched back to RISE/FALL CV for shape modulation.
Examples
Patch: CH.1 CYCLE on, RISE+FALL at noon, CH.2 attenuvertor at noon. SUM OUT → CH.1+4 Both IN. Output from CH.1 Signal OUT. Optionally: CH.1 Variable OUT → CH.1 RISE CV to morph LFO shapes.
Assessment
Without a manual, set up a triangle LFO on Maths using only SUM OUT feedback and identify which knob controls rate vs. shape.
