Maths generates a retriggerable AD envelope via Trigger IN with VariResponse shaping the curve
Applying a pulse or gate to Trigger IN of CH.1 or 4 on Maths initiates an Attack/Decay transient: rising from 0V to 10V at the RISE rate, then falling at the FALL rate. Both RISE and FALL are independently voltage-controllable. VariResponse morphs the curve from logarithmic through linear to exponential. The envelope is retriggerable during the fall segment. The Attenuvertor scales and/or inverts the output.
Examples
Patch a gate to CH.1 TRIG IN. Adjust RISE and FALL for attack and decay times. Patch CH.1 Signal OUT to a VCA. Set VariResponse to EXP for a percussive shape.
Assessment
What happens if you retrigger a Maths AD envelope during the decay stage? How does VariResponse differ from changing RISE/FALL times?
