LFO modulation destinations span all sound-shaping parameters including other LFO parameters

Each of the Digitakt II’s three LFOs (two on MIDI tracks) can be routed to a wide range of modulation destinations, accessible on the MOD page via the DEST parameter. For audio tracks, destinations include SRC parameters (tune, play mode, sample slot, start/length/loop), all FILTER machine parameters, AMP envelope parameters, FX sends, and effects-related parameters (bit reduction, overdrive, SRR). Notably, LFO2 and LFO3 can modulate LFO1’s parameters (speed, waveform, depth, etc.), and LFO3 can modulate LFO2’s parameters — enabling complex, multi-rate evolving modulation. For MIDI tracks, destinations include pitch bend, aftertouch, mod wheel, and all 16 CC value parameters. This architecture enables morphing LFO behaviors that would otherwise require external modulation sources.

Examples

Set LFO3 to slowly ramp LFO1’s speed (destination=LFO1:Speed): the primary modulation gradually accelerates. Set LFO1 to modulate sample slot (destination=SRC:Sample Slot) for a step-pattern of different samples.

Assessment

Can LFO1 modulate LFO2’s depth on an audio track? What destination would you use to make an LFO control which sample plays on each trig?
