The 223e arpeggiator offers five note-ordering patterns and a voltage-ramping fade output for smooth entrance and exit of arpeggiated patterns

The 223e Tactile Input Port’s arpeggiator selects from five note-ordering patterns: Rising (ascending), Falling (descending), Triangle (up then down), Random (pseudo-random), and Spiral (semi-regular, each note plays approximately once before the first repeats). An envelope fade controls entry (fade-in) and exit (fade-out) times via a 0–10V ramp on the level output, intended for connection to a 292e velocity input. The arpeggiator can sync to an external pulse, an internal clock (42–480 BPM, CV-controllable), or MIDI clock from the 225e. An add-note/hold mode accumulates and latches notes without sustaining keys.

Examples

Set the 223e to Spiral pattern at 120 BPM, patch the level output to the 292e velocity input, and set fade-in to 4 seconds — the pattern builds gradually from silence to full amplitude.

Assessment

Describe how Triangle and Spiral patterns differ in note order. Explain the function of the level output and an appropriate destination module for it.

“There are 5 patterns, displayed on the first line as follows: Rising, Falling, Triangle, Random, and Spiral.”
